How to add an MX record
What MX records do
MX records tell the internet where email for your domain should be delivered.
Steps
- Log in to cPanel.
- Open Zone Editor.
- Choose Manage for the domain.
- Add or edit the MX record with the correct priority and destination.
- Save the change.
Important
Only use MX records supplied by your email provider. Incorrect MX records can stop mail delivery.
