How to transfer a domain away
Before starting
Check that the domain is active, not locked by recent registration rules and has an accessible registrant email address.
Steps
- Log in to the customer area or contact support.
- Request the domain unlock or transfer code where applicable.
- Start the transfer at the new registrar.
- Approve any confirmation emails.
Important
Make sure DNS is copied correctly at the new provider if your website or email depends on existing records.
